COMMUNITY GARDEN
Picture

Valley Church has started a community garden. Located on our church property at 1452 River Road, we have 4'x10' raised beds and 10'x10' plots available to rent from May 30 through October for a modest fee (scholarships are also available). Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a beginner, if you don't have room or sunshine in your yard for a garden (or don't even have a yard), we invite you to garden with us. If you have children, you're encouraged to involve them. We'll have mentors available to assist you with planting, tending, and harvesting, as well as preparing and cooking your vegetables.

If you have any questions, email ValleyChurchGarden@gmail.com or call the church at 648-8224.

If you are interested in a garden plot, you can look over the guidelines for gardening in the community garden and download an application that you can submit by using the form here. The deadline to apply for a garden for 2018 is June 1, 2018.

To get an idea of what crops we recommend planting, see our planting guide.

The ground for plots has been tilled and the raised beds are full of soil.
